IT Support Contractor Job at Parsley Health in New York

The opportunity:

We’re looking for an experienced IT contractor to support our team on a fractional basis. This is a medium-term engagement best suited for someone who consults with multiple companies and is available to support Parsley on an ongoing basis. This role is a great fit for someone who intentionally chooses contract work as their primary focus. To ensure continuity, we're looking for someone who is not actively seeking full-time employment elsewhere and can partner with us reliably over the medium term.

The time commitment will vary depending on need, likely between 5 and 15 hours per week. You’ll help resolve escalated IT issues, update and manage device systems, and occasionally support in-person tech needs at our NYC office.

What you'll do:

• Respond to escalated IT support requests and service tickets
  
  
• Support onboarding and offboarding workflows when needed
  
  
• Make updates to device management tools such as Jamf
  
  
• Ship, receive, and prepare Mac laptops for employees, including occasional visits to our NYC office, or coordinate with in-office staff to ensure preparation & delivery.
  
  
• Perform basic audits and software updates
  
  
• Assist with procurement and inventory tracking
  
  
• Recommend and implement small improvements to IT systems and processes
  
  
• Collaborate with internal teams on short technical projects
  
  

What you’ll need:

• Solid experience with MacOS administration
  
  
• Familiarity with Slack, Zoom, and Google Workspace in a remote-first setup
  
  
• Experience with Jamf or a similar MDM tool
  
  
• Ability to manage IT procurement and asset inventory
  
  
• Self-sufficient and reliable with timely communication
  
  
• Experience with SOC 2, HIPAA, or similar frameworks is a plus
  
  
• Background supporting startups or small teams is preferred

Terms:

• $40-55 per hour rate
• 5-15 hours per week but hours may land outside that estimate based on business needs
• Must be within commutable distance to NYC via train, subway car for occasional onsite needs
