Job Summary: The Epicor Support Desk / IT Help Desk Specialist is an entry-level position responsible for providing front-line technical support for both Epicor ERP system users and general IT-related concerns. The role ensures the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of internal systems, while offering timely, courteous assistance to internal users across multiple departments and who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Job Responsibilities/Duties: IT Help Desk Specialist

Epicor ERP Support:

• Provide Tier 1 support for Epicor ERP system users, addressing login issues, basic navigation, data inconsistencies, and user access requests.
• Document and escalate Epicor-specific issues to senior ERP specialists.
• Assist with the setup, installation, and testing of Epicor solutions in both internal and customer-facing test environments.
• Collaborate with developers and QA specialists to troubleshoot custom Epicor modules and report findings.

IT Help Desk Functions:

• Serve as the first point of contact for internal employees seeking technical support via phone, email, or in person.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues on desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and other office equipment.
• Configure, install, and maintain new or existing hardware and software systems.
• Support basic network infrastructure including routers, switches, and wireless systems.
• Log, manage, and resolve help desk tickets in a timely and professional manner.
• Maintain IT asset inventory and ensure documentation of procedures and solutions.
• Assist with IT onboarding of new employees including workstation setup and account provisioning.
• Participate in IT and ERP improvement projects, system rollouts, and upgrades.
• CompTIA A+ certification required.
• Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) is a plus.
• Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in an IT Help Desk or technical support role.
• Prior exposure to ERP systems (preferably Epicor) is strongly preferred.
• Experience supporting Microsoft Windows OS, Office Suite, and basic network troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with IT ticketing systems and best practices for technical support.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks with attention to detail.
• Customer-focused mindset with ability to communicate clearly with technical and non-technical users.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Work Environmental & Physical Demand:

• This role is based at our manufacturing facility in Denison, TX, which is a large, dynamic workplace environment.
• Occasional lifting and movement of IT equipment up to 50 pounds may be required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and tasks simultaneously.
• Occasional travel within the facility for IT-related support may be necessary.
• The work environment may include both office settings and areas with industrial equipment.
• May stand or sit for long periods of up to 12 hours.
• Work in various adverse conditions such as tight or enclosed spaces, and heights.
• Minimal travel (<5%) may be required for training or multi-site support.

Required Education:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Associate’s degree in information technology or related field preferred.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
