THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.
This National Guard position is for an IT SPECIALIST (CUSTSPT), GS-2210-11, with Position Description Number D2182P01, and is part of the Pennsylvania National Guard.

Duties
As an IT SPECIALIST (CUSTSPT), GS-2210-11, you will manage the assigned IT/communications environment with privileged access at the network level for the Wing, Geographically Separated Units (GSU), and Tenants. You will serve as a focal point for ensuring functionality and operability of the assigned IT/data systems, voice, and wireless systems to support mission requirements of the Wing, GSU, and Tenants. Your responsibilities include determining customer requirements, recognizing and analyzing trends, providing instruction and orientation services, conducting feasibility studies to identify system failures, analyzing data to forecast future hardware and software needs, coordinating frequency needs with spectrum management offices, and installing, maintaining, and repairing hardware supporting various information and communication systems. You will also conduct self-inspections and staff assistance visits to adhere to management control plans, and perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements

- This is an excepted service position requiring membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state's National Guard prior to the effective date of employment.
- Selected candidates will be required to wear the military uniform.
- Acceptance of this position constitutes agreement with these requirements.
- Applicants not currently members of the National Guard must be eligible for immediate membership and employment at the specified military grade.
- Males born after December 31, 1959, must be registered for Selective Service.
- Employment is contingent upon a background investigation and suitability determination.
