Overview

The IT Support Analyst provides exceptional customer service while resolving issues arising from the day-to-day use of NorthStar's technology platforms. A key responsibility is to triage support requests received through the central Help Desk portal to different support teams (Finance, HR, Legal, etc.) throughout the company. Helping ensure service level agreements are met across a support issue's lifecycle, using metrics, reporting, and communication, is a strong component of this role. The Support Analyst also provides higher-level support when needed to meet project-based objectives and system administration requirements.

Essential Functions

  • Provide a high level of technical customer support to NorthStar's office-based and remote employees by phone, by email, or in-person
  • Triage incoming IT support request tickets by solving or distributing them as needed
  • Communicate effectively with other departments to ensure timely resolution of issues
  • Work closely with our Network, Data Architecture, and Security teams to solve acute IT issues
  • Solve IT endpoint hardware and software issues in a timely and courteous manner
  • Prepare hardware for newly hired employees
  • Provide A/V support for internal meetings
  • Assist with the implementation and enforcement of IT security requirements
  • Work well in a flexible, distributed workforce, in-office with regular and reliable attendance at the corporate office in Irving, TX

  • Performs other duties as required

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum of 1-3 years in an IT-related field
  • Customer-support experience required
  • Proven experience supporting commonly-used IT hardware and software

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven ability to provide courteous, concise technical support to employees
  • Knowledge of Windows/Office Suite required
  • Ability to analyze and solve complex problems
  • Ability to adapt to changing organizational and operational needs
  • Strong team player with ability to work across multiple functions and disciplines
  • Skill in organization, prioritization, and attention to detail
