Position Description

As an IT Specialist, Senior, your role will be to ensure the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of the IT services supporting core organizational functions. You will monitor, maintain, support, and optimize all networked software and associated operating systems. Applying communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills, you will help identify, communicate, and resolve issues to maximize the benefits of IT systems investments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems; develop and implement strategies for improvement.
  • Collaborate with IT Infrastructure Managed Service provider to resolve end-user and IT environment issues; document incidents.
  • Design and perform server and security audits, system backups, and recovery processes in line with disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
  • Support infrastructure project preparations and user acceptance testing.
  • Integrate servers, including database, email, print, and backup servers, into enterprise systems.
  • Assist with audit and SOX compliance preparations.
  • Communicate with internal and external customers to document resolutions and project requirements.
  • Create and maintain documentation related to system configurations, processes, and service records.
  • Guide and resolve escalated issues for IT team members.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Candidate Profile

  • Solid knowledge of servers, networks, PC/printer maintenance, antivirus software, Windows OS, and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to recognize and analyze technical problems.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Understanding of IT policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Excellent communication skills to explain technical issues and solutions.
  • Ability to handle escalations professionally and promptly.
  • Fluent in English and the primary language of the area of responsibility.

Qualifications

  • Associates Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent education and experience.

Experience

  • Minimum of five years' experience in desktop support.

Physical & Environmental Requirements

Limited travel expected.
