SCADA Support Specialist

We are seeking a SCADA Support Specialist to provide critical support for system control centers and field commissioning teams within a high-voltage power and substation environment. This position offers the opportunity to support and troubleshoot SCADA systems and metering infrastructure, with long-term contract potential. Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide technical support for SCADA systems and components across distribution, generation, and transmission facilities.
  2. Assist technicians and test engineers with commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of Remote Terminal Units (RTUs), Data Concentrators, and IEDs.
  3. Operate and maintain Energy Control Systems and associated equipment, such as GE D20 and SEL-RTAC RTUs.
  4. Support revenue metering systems and interface with Metering Engineers as needed.
  5. Assist in ongoing Energy Management (EM) projects and contribute to the improvement of system efficiency and data reliability.
  6. Utilize working knowledge of databases and networking technologies to support SCADA infrastructure.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or Computer Engineering.
  • 13 years of experience in a utility or industrial environment supporting communications between IEDs.
  • Strong understanding of SCADA systems, troubleshooting, and power system metering.
  • Experience with DNP3.0 (required) and Modbus (preferred) communication protocols.
  • Familiarity with GE D20 and SEL-RTAC RTUs.

  • Work from Home: Not permitted (100% onsite)
  • Travel: None expected (may require occasional site presence)
  • Overtime: Not expected

Location: Tucker, GA 30084

Term: 12-month minimum contract (extensions likely)

Pay Range: $50$70/hr (target bill rate may need to stay under $100/hr)

Hours: MondayFriday, 8 AM 5 PM (some flexibility)
