Customer Service Representative

Our team specializes in a wide range of services, including FSA, DCA, HRA, HSA, commuter and parking benefit administration, and COBRA administration. The Customer Service Representative is responsible for providing exceptional customer service to participants by answering questions, solving problems, and educating them on the Agency's products and services. This position will a strong knowledge of ABA's products and services, adhere to confidentiality guidelines, and consistently meet or exceed customer service goals.

This is a full-time position working in our office located at 22 Inverness Center Parkway Birmingham, AL.

Professional Responsibilities:

  • Respond to customer inquiries via phone and email, providing clear and accurate information about agency products and services.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve customer issues, providing timely follow-up to ensure satisfaction.
  • Respond to email inquiries and phone calls in a professional manner.
  • Adhere to HIPAA and confidentiality guidelines to protect sensitive information.
  • Meet or exceed customer service goals, objectives, and standards set by the agency.
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of agency products and services, effectively communicating this knowledge to customers.
  • Participate in ongoing departmental training and continuing education opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Provide informal or formal training to team members as needed, sharing expertise and best practices.
  • Assist other departments with tasks and projects as required.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • 0-3 years of previous industry experience in a customer support position.
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Familiarity with employee benefits programs, including knowledge of various benefit types, compliance with relevant regulations, and awareness of emerging trends and best practices.
  • Strong critical thinking skills to analyze complex scenarios and develop solutions for clients.
  • Display a high level of attention to detail when entering data and reviewing documents to avoid errors and ensure data integrity.
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred.
  • Experience in the employee benefits industry preferred.
  • Associate or Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or a related field preferred.
  • Proficient with use of Microsoft Office Suite and products.
  • A passion for being part of a team that drives our company to industry leadership.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with both peers and clients.
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
