Job Summary
The role involves comprehensive project planning by defining scope, goals, and deliverables in close collaboration with management and stakeholders. A key responsibility is serving as the liaison between business units, IT, Marketing, and stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and alignment. Risk management is a critical component, requiring the identification of potential project risks and the development of effective mitigation strategies. During project execution, progress is closely monitored through the use of project management software and tools to track milestones, deliverables, and timelines. The role also entails regular reporting to senior and executive leadership, providing updates on project status, achievements, and any emerging challenges. Additionally, change management is essential, involving the documentation and communication of project changes to the business and all key stakeholders to ensure organizational alignment.
Job Description: Our Strategic Partnerships is looking to expand our team and seeking a Project Manager – Strategic Partnerships to lead and manage projects from inception through completion, ensuring delivery within scope and timelines. This highly visible role will aid and oversee the onboarding and optimization of our embedded franchise partnership teams.
Responsibilities:
- Project Planning: Define scope, goals and deliverables in collaboration with management and stakeholders
- Act as liaison between business units, IT, Marketing, and other stakeholders
- Risk Management: Identify project risks and assist with development of mitigation strategies to address issues
- Project Execution: Track project milestones, deliverables, and timelines using project management software and tools (Jira, Confluence, etc.)
- Reporting: Provide regular updates on project status, progress and challenges to leadership
- Change Management: Manage project changes and ensure they are documented and communicated
Required Experience and Skills:
- 2+ years of experience in project management minimum
- Knowledge of an agile framework or method (i.e. Scrum, Kanban), or understanding of software development life cycle models as well as in-depth knowledge of traditional project management principles and practices
- Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and decision-making skills
- Proficiency in Project Management software, JIRA, Trello, Monday.com preferred
- Strong communication skills
- Result-oriented mindset
- Proficiency in managing cross-functional teams
Preferred Experience and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Insurance, Project Management or related field
- Experience in the Insurance industry
- 3+ years Project Management experience
- PMP or equivalent certification, ( example: scrum master certification)
