Summary Job Description

The Senior Accountant will be responsible for preparing & reviewing journal entries, preparing & reviewing financial information & financial statements in accordance with the company’s processes and controls, supporting the annual audit, & supporting the integration of all acquisitions. This position reports to the Controller.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Participate in month-end close process including but not limited to:
• Prepare recurring & non-recurring journal entries & maintain related support schedules
• Prepare account reconciliations & supporting documentation for balance sheet accounts
• Review financial statements to ensure accurate & complete & in accordance with GAAP
• Monitor and maintain control schedules for leases, prepaid assets, fixed & intangible assets
• Participate in the accounting transition and integration of newly acquired practices
• Create and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and controls
• Prepare and review journal entries & supporting schedules to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Assist with year-end audit
• Assist with annual budget and forecasts
• Other duties as necessary
  

• Progressively responsible accounting experience required
• Self-starter, highly motivated; ability to complete tasks with minimal supervision
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent attention to detail and highly organized
• Ability to handle multiple projects with changing priorities
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
• Advanced Excel skills
• Technical accounting experience preferred
  
  

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting field required
• CPA preferred
