Responsibilities

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Staff Accountant in Mansfield, MA. Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Staff Accountant to support core financial operations, including accounts payable, general ledger maintenance, and month-end close activities. This role requires strong analytical skills, accuracy, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities:

• The Staff Accountant will process accounts payable invoices and perform reconciliations (50%)
• Support general ledger activities and assist with month-end close procedures (50%)
• Enter and maintain fixed asset records in the accounting system
• Upload and confirm financial consolidations
• As a Staff Accountant, you will prepare and post journal entries
• Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies

Requirements

• Bachelor\'s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred)
• Proven experience in accounts payable and general ledger accounting
• Familiarity with fixed asset accounting and financial consolidations
• Strong understanding of journal entries and account reconciliation processes
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to meet deadlines and work independently

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
