Position: Accountant IV

We are seeking a qualified Accountant IV to perform a variety of moderately complex activities related to accounting and financial records. The role involves working with the general ledger, payroll, budgeting, and financial analysis, ensuring compliance with company policies and GAAP standards.

Primary Responsibilities

• Prepare and reconcile payroll and fixed asset audit schedules.
• Manage payroll reports, direct deposits, and bank transfers.
• Handle payroll deductions and 401K transfers.
• Maintain W-2 and 1099 records and prepare tax filings.
• Process weekly accounts payable ACH payments.
• Prepare multi-state tax returns and assist with audits.
• Reconcile audit findings and develop related procedures.
• Maintain internal audit programs for sales and accounts payable.
• Respond to internal and external inquiries and provide research support.
• Train personnel on accounting software.
• Assist with daily cash reports, bank reconciliations, and journal entries.
• Support the Accounting Manager and serve as backup for other accounting functions.
• Adhere to all relevant policies, regulations, and laws, including GAAP and tax laws.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience.
• Strong understanding of GAAP, tax, and payroll laws.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and accounting software.
• Ability to handle confidential information appropriately.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance required.
