Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required. At least 2 years prior experience working with young children in a New York State Office of Children and Family Serviced ( NYSOCFS ) licensed program. Understands and respects children and their developmental needs and interests.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or Elementary Education with an Early Childhood Education component/specialization preferred.
- Pursuit of a master’s degree in Early Childhood Education a plus.
- Experience working in a National Association for the Education of the Young Children ( NAEYC ) Accredited childcare center a plus.
- Demonstrates knowledge of the NAEC Accreditation Standards, NAEYC Accreditation process and Teaching Strategies Creative Curriculum.
- Work experience with infants and toddlers.
