Mechanic - Gannett Publishing Services, Canton, OH
A Packaging Mechanic maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs packaging machinery to ensure efficient and safe production. They focus on minimizing downtime, performing preventative maintenance, and optimizing machine performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Installation, maintenance, and repair of packaging equipment, including mechanical and pneumatic systems.
- Performing changeovers and troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues.
- Utilizing hand and power tools for repairs and maintenance.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of mechanical systems.
- Ability to work with hand and power tools effectively.
- Experience in troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues.
- Knowledge of various packaging machinery and their components.
- Understanding of preventative maintenance procedures.
