Job Summary:
A Senior Tax Manager works closely with partners, staff, and clients, and is responsible for planning, managing, reviewing, and completing client engagements. FD seeks a motivated individual who will become an integral part of the firm and serve as a leader in the office. Our professionals aim to help clients minimize their tax liability while complying with changing tax laws. We offer services including consulting, compliance, stock option planning, international tax advice, and expert consultation on investments, mergers, reorganizations, and liquidations. Duties/Responsibilities:
Manage and review complex tax returns for individuals, businesses, and trusts. Stay current with tax law changes, advising clients on impacts and opportunities. Lead tax engagements from planning to delivery, including budgeting and fee monitoring. Develop and maintain strong client relationships through exceptional service. Collaborate with partners and team members to foster practice development and new business efforts. Lead client meetings and presentations, communicating tax concepts clearly. Monitor engagement profitability through budget and expectation management. Participate in business development activities like networking and industry events. Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s and/or Master’s in Accounting. Active CPA license. 8+ years of experience in high-net-worth tax planning, compliance, and consulting. Deep knowledge of estate, gift, and trust tax laws, including IRC Sections 671-679. Experience with family office services and private foundations. Proven ability to oversee complex client engagements and develop tax strategies. Proficiency with tax software like CCH Axcess and Microsoft Office. Experience supervising and mentoring staff.
