The Program We're looking for students to join our Co-Op Program who believe that sound is power. Over the 6-month co-op, you will get the opportunity to apply the skills you learned in the classroom with hands-on work experience. Our Co-Ops will get to network across the business to understand different perspectives at Bose. You'll connect with other Co-Ops and colleagues to grow your network for the future! Timeframe - Spring Co-op: Must be available January 12- June 26, 2026 and able to work in a hybrid work environment. The Role The Technical Analyst Co-Op is passionate about consumer audio products including earbuds, headphones, speakers and home theater and the engineering technologies and innovations that go into making and differentiating them in the marketplace. In this fun, exciting, hands-on role, you will work with the Competitive Intelligence (CI) team at Bose, a multi-disciplinary group of engineers, product managers, designers, marketing experts and innovators who collaborate to evaluate competitor audio products and provide insights to company leaders and product development teams. The CI mission is to inform tactical decisions within the organization and focus Bose's efforts and investments on what delivers the most value to our customer through the mapping, analysis, and communication of our competitive landscape. By the end of your co-op, you will have gained a strong knowledge of consumer audio technology and will have made a tangible contribution to an ever-growing CI knowledge base of insights that help drive and focus the internal technology advancements that are key to the Bose's future success. Responsibilities include: Collaborate with subject matter experts to conduct quantitative, comparative measurements on the performance of key product characteristics, such as acoustics, active noise cancellation, Bluetooth range, comfort and stability Immerse in the broad offerings of competitors and perform cross product experiential analysis and benchmarking Assist (and eventually lead) product teardowns, which involve careful, concerted disassembly of the product to the component level Document teardown and experiential benchmarking observations through written summaries, photos, videos, and when necessary, coordinate with lab personnel to take x-ray and microscopy images and conduct deep-dive analysis of critical features leveraging the community of Bose subject matter experts Present findings to key stakeholders, which may include leaders in product development, marketing and research Support the CI team to develop a competitive product evaluation plan, and help maintain a tracking dashboard of teardown activities and priorities Requirements Must-haves: Passionate interest in audio products and a deep curiosity about the consumer audio marketplace You are a tinkerer with skillful hands and an aptitude for taking apart and understanding how electro-mechanical systems work Successful record of accomplishment executing school and/or internship projects Strong team player with excellent communication and presentation skills Good organizational skills, technical curiosity, and desire to work in a fast-paced team environment School requirements: Junior or senior in a relevant engineering discipline: electrical, mechanical, audio, acoustics or industrial Strong academic record Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience designing and building electronic or mechanical systems a plus Bose is an equal opportunity employer.
