The Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager in daily store operations to maximize sales and profitability through merchandising, managing expenses and inventory, training staff, and delivering outstanding customer service. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Oversee the quality and performance of store staff. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures. Lead by example to motivate the team towards store goals and training standards. Assist in recruiting, hiring, and developing store personnel. Contribute to performance evaluations and provide feedback. Help manage expenses and develop strategies to meet financial targets. Monitor store operations to minimize shrink and address issues. Ensure operational compliance, safety, and business standards. Support employee training in selling and merchandising techniques. Uphold customer service standards to ensure a friendly shopping environment. Assist with merchandise inventory counts. Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications: Minimum of one (1) year retail management experience. Skills and Knowledge: Strong business knowledge and excellent communication skills. High interpersonal skills, tact, and diplomacy. Strategic thinking, planning, and organizational skills. Professionalism and discretion. Analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Willingness to work in multiple stores within the district. Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in a fast-paced environment. Reliable transportation and willingness to travel. Additional Information:
