Group: Land Surveying Position: Right of Way Project Manager Location: Jeffersonville, IN Our team of 40+ professionals has access to the latest tools such as GPS, robotic, and hydrographic surveying equipment. We handle a variety of projects, including land title, topographic, boundary, hydrographic, transportation, utility route surveys, right-of-way services, and construction staking. We seek a Professional Surveyor experienced in municipal public works and civil/site construction projects who can manage and supervise survey projects daily, contribute to proposals, fee negotiations, and contracts.
Responsibilities
Manage land survey projects related to transportation/right-of-way, including boundary, ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys, topographic, utility, and construction staking (a plus but not required)
Communicate professionally with clients and internal teams
Direct survey crews and technicians
Review work of surveying staff
Take ownership of project revenue and performance
Prepare Location Control Route Survey Plats
Review title and encumbrance reports
Prepare Right of Way Parcel Plats (Exhibit "B") and Legal Descriptions (Exhibit "A")
Develop Right of Way Engineering documents, Parcel Documentation, Area Computations, L10, and Fee Taking Memos
Develop Right of Way Plans
Process field data into topographic surveys (a plus but not required)
Analyze record documents, establish layout property lines, alignments, and easements (a plus but not required)
Download LiDAR, aerial photography, and GIS data from public sources (a plus but not required)
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Must have passed the Fundamentals of Surveying (FS) exam or hold an active Professional Surveyor License in Indiana
At least 2 years of Right of Way surveying experience
Proficiency in AutoCAD/Civil 3D
Knowledge of MicroStation is a plus
Microsoft Office skills
INDOT prequalification in Right-of-Way Engineering is a plus
