About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Medical Officer (CMO) to provide strategic and operational medical leadership, ensuring the highest standards of clinical quality, participant safety, and regulatory compliance. The CMO will be responsible for medical policy, decision-making, and oversight of all medical affairs and clinical functions, including participant care, utilization management, quality assurance, and credentialing. This role involves fostering collaboration among providers, leading clinical quality improvement initiatives, and representing the organization with regulators, community stakeholders, and the Board of Directors. The ideal candidate will have an MD or DO degree, be licensed to practice medicine in the State of Colorado, and have a strong background in primary care, particularly with a frail elderly population.
Key responsibilities for the CMO at the company include providing medical leadership, championing a culture that prioritizes provider well-being, and evaluating and improving medical service delivery. The CMO will also be involved in the review of pharmacy utilization, leading the utilization management program, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Credentialing, quality management, and network development are also essential aspects of the role. The successful candidate must have excellent communication skills, the ability to work effectively in an interdisciplinary team, and a strong understanding of the physical, mental, and social needs of frail older adults.
