The nurse will work in an adult crisis unit. The shift is scheduled for nights, working three 12-hour shifts per week. Flexibility with scheduling is essential. The candidate must adhere to a strict attendance policy with zero tolerance for tardiness and unexcused absences. Floating between facilities may be required as needed. All nurses are required to pass a competency exam as part of the compliance process. The nurse will care for patients with a variety of diagnoses, including Major Depressive Disorder, Bipolar Disorder, Schizophrenia, and Substance Abuse. Candidates should be familiar with crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques. Patient ratios on the unit are 1:6. The position involves care for adolescents, adults, and pediatrics.
