Job Overview

Bluehawk is seeking a passionate Financial Controller with GovCon and Unanet experience to lead our accounting department. Responsibilities include overseeing financial operations, accounting, and reporting for government contracts. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Unanet, cost accounting, and compliance with FAR and CAS regulations. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and leadership abilities are essential.

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Reporting and Analysis:
   
   • Prepare and review financial statements (income statements, balance sheets, cash flow reports).
   • Analyze financial data to identify trends and variances.
   • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for management and stakeholders.
   
   
2. Budgeting and Forecasting:
   • Develop and manage budgets aligned with contract requirements and organizational goals.
   • Perform variance analysis and explain deviations.
   
   
3. Proposal Development and Support:
   • Develop price-to-win strategies.
   • Prepare cost proposals, including cost narratives, spreadsheets, and justifications.
   
   
4. Compliance and Audit:
   • Ensure compliance with FAR, CAS, and other regulations.
   • Manage internal and external audits.
   • Maintain documentation for audit readiness.
   
   
5. Accounting and Financial Operations:
   • Manage general ledger, AP, AR, and payroll.
   • Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes.
   • Reconcile accounts for accuracy.
   
   
6. Unanet System Management:
   • Maintain and optimize Unanet software.
   • Ensure accurate data entry and integration.
   • Train staff on Unanet.
   
   
7. Team Leadership:
   • Supervise and mentor finance staff.
   • Provide guidance on policies and best practices.
   • Foster a collaborative team environment.
   
   

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CMA preferred).
• Minimum of 5 years of financial management experience, preferably in GovCon.
• Proficiency with Unanet, FAR, and CAS regulations.
• Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with financial reporting tools.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.
