Job Description:
Responsibilities:
- The Precision Meso-scale Technology Center (PMTC) located on Client's campus in Santa Rosa, CA exists to provide high precision mechanical solutions that enable the capabilities of Client's industry leading electronic measurement equipment.
- As a manufacturing engineer you will develop and sustain manufacturing processes utilizing cutting edge technologies to achieve micron level tolerances in precision machining.
- Working closely with R&D on microwave and mm wave applications you will influence and create designs for mechanical components and assemblies, facilitating their release and supporting production.
- Investigating the latest precision machining technologies
- Tooling design
- Providing design for manufacturing input on new product design
- Troubleshooting process issues
- Root cause analysis
- Documentation creation and maintenance
Qualifications
- Bachelors, Masters or PhD in Mechanical Engineering or applicable Sciences
- 7+ years of applicable experience in precision machining, manufacturing and design (part design, product design, and/or process design)
- Working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work in and/or lead diverse cross-functional teams
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Excellent organizational and project management skills
- Ability to prioritize day to day activities balancing immediate needs with long term project goals
- Solid modeling experience
- Familiarity with RF, microwave and mm wave applications desired
