About this Role In this role, you will:
Provide clinical outpatient evaluations to a diverse patient population.
Collaborate with a referral network of neurologists, psychiatrists, psychologists, and primary care physicians.
Engage in forensic work (civil and federal) focused on neurocognitive and psychological assessments related to personal injury, disability, workers' compensation claims, and other legal matters. This includes conducting comprehensive evaluations, record review, clinical interviews, neuropsychological testing, report writing, and potentially serving as an expert witness in legal proceedings. NSG has experience evaluating former NFL players and NCAA athletes for concussion-related settlements, providing expertise in these areas, including workers' compensation cases. Training and supervision will be provided, including graded experiences for neuropsychologists with limited forensic experience.
Qualifications
Doctoral degree in clinical or counseling psychology from an APA- or CPA-accredited program.
Completion of an APA- or CPA-accredited pre-doctoral internship.
Completion of a formal two-year postdoctoral residency in neuropsychology aligned with Houston Conference and APPCN training guidelines.
Active license to practice psychology in the state where you will be practicing.
Board certification in clinical neuropsychology through ABPP is strongly encouraged and supported.
Experience conducting evaluations and providing expert testimony in workers' compensation cases is highly desirable.
