Program Director Job Purpose
The Therapeutic Visit Specialist provides therapeutic supervised visitation for families referred by the Court. Responsibilities include working with families to focus on parent-child bonds, emotional attunement, facilitating healing conversations, and supporting families in transitioning from supervised to unsupervised visitation when appropriate. The role also involves connecting families with local resources for basic needs and child support. Key Responsibilities
Conduct intake, interviews, and screenings for children and parents. Provide therapeutic supervision during visits in office and community settings, following established policies. Transport children to community visits as needed. Conduct pre- and post-visit meetings, intervene, and educate during visits. Assist parents with psychoeducational workshops, positive parenting skills, and resource linkage. Write accurate case notes after each visit. Submit weekly reports as required by court and program. Coordinate with the Program Supervisor regarding court and DSS contacts. Assist in completing program statistics, reports, and scheduling. Apply professional skills and training to provide appropriate services. Attend relevant trainings to stay updated on best practices. Qualifications
Master’s Degree in Social Work or Psychology; LMSW or LMHP required, with at least 2 years supervised visitation experience or equivalent. Bi-lingual skills preferred. Knowledge of mental health, behavioral, child, family issues, and court systems. Therapeutic Supervised Visitation training preferred. Strong communication skills, both oral and written. Ability to handle emergency situations independently. Proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Office and databases. What We Offer
