The Plainfield, Indiana Warehouse is seeking a versatile and proactive IT & Data Analyst Specialist to join our team. This on site role combines core IT support and administration with advanced data analysis and reporting. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Microsoft Excel, Access, VBA, Power Query, Python, and Power BI. You'll be comfortable supporting both the technical infrastructure and the data-driven decision-making needs of our warehouse operations. Experience with AS400 WMS (Warehouse Management System) is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities
IT Support & Administration
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues for warehouse staff.
- Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, software, and peripherals.
- Manage user access, permissions, and application security.
- Maintain and administer company databases, ensuring data integrity and security.
- Monitor the warehouse’s computer infrastructure, including servers, networks, and cloud environments.
- Develop and enhance business applications to improve operational efficiency.
- Diagnose and solve hardware and software faults; coordinate with vendors as needed.
- Implement and test disaster recovery and backup procedures.
- Create and maintain detailed work logs and documentation for IT operations.
- Research and recommend new technologies and potential upgrades.
- Manage IT projects, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business goals.
- Assess and mitigate potential security threats; participate in incident and security management.
- Protect sensitive information and system-critical data in compliance with company policies.
- Maintain and assist in AS400 WMS functions and applications, including troubleshooting, user support, and process optimization.
Data Analysis & Reporting
- Design, develop, and maintain automated reports and dashboards using Power BI , Excel , and Access to support warehouse management and logistics.
- Utilize Power Query , VBA , and Python to automate data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
- Collaborate with warehouse management and staff to gather requirements and deliver actionable insights.
- Perform data validation, cleansing, and quality assurance to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Develop and maintain databases and data models to support analytics.
- Identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for process improvement.
- Present findings and recommendations to management in a clear and concise manner.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience in IT support, network administration, and database management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced formulas, VBA, Power Query) and Access.
- Experience with Power BI for data visualization and dashboard development.
- Working knowledge of Python for data manipulation and automation.
- Experience with AS400 WMS functions and applications.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with cloud computing environments and security best practices.
- Excellent organizational, documentation, and project management abilities.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with application development and business process automation.
- Certifications in IT (e.g., CompTIA, Microsoft, Cisco) or data analytics (e.g., Microsoft Data Analyst Associate).
- Experience with incident and security management tools.
- Knowledge of disaster recovery planning and implementation.
