As a Staff Accountant at Neighborly, a typical day for you will include:

• Perform monthly closing activities, journal entries, account reconciliations, accrual schedules, variance analysis & commentary, financial statements, and reporting.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and Company policies and procedures.
• Assist management with financial statements review.
• Analyze financial information and reports (detailing income, expenses, assets, and liabilities, and prepare balance sheet, profit and loss statement, statement of cash flows, and other reports).
• Review and record sales contracts.
• Perform balance sheet account reconciliations.
• Understand and apply generally accepted accounting principles.
• Prepare commissions and bonuses for the approval process.
• Prepare schedules, test samples, footnotes and related disclosures in support of the external audit.
• Use software such as Microsoft Suites (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams), Dynamics, Great Plains, SAP Concur, and Northridge Loan Management Software.
• Perform other duties as required. These duties may include assignments in job classification other than their own.

Experience:

• A minimum of two (2) years of recent related experience required
• Intermediate-level knowledge of Microsoft suite (Word, Access, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook) is required
• Working knowledge of ERP/financial system
  
  

Education:

• Bachelors degree (B.A.) in Accounting required
