Role Summary:
The IT Support Specialist will provide essential computer support to end-users, including PC/POS Register users, server or mainframe applications, and hardware. This role involves diagnosing problems, researching solutions, resolving issues, and following up with users to ensure satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the setup and implementation of store and corporate equipment, including POS systems and network setups.
- Offer technical support related to Aptos Retail Point of Sale, Windows OS, and Microsoft Products.
- Troubleshoot hardware issues for POS registers and other devices.
- Diagnose network interruptions and collaborate with vendors to resolve the issues swiftly.
- Utilize a helpdesk ticketing system to track calls and project status.
- Install and configure new workstations in accordance with company standards.
- Supports basic telecom systems and assists with retail hardware technologies.
- Demonstrate a high level of professionalism in all communications and maintain a positive work environment.
- Comply with all relevant laws and company policies.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, or a relevant field, or equivalent experience.
- 1-3 years of Help Desk/System Administration experience, preferably in retail.
- Ability to break down complex concepts into simple processes.
- Strong experience with MS Office Suite and other relevant software.
- Proactive communication skills and a commitment to confidentiality.
