F2Onsite is in need of an experienced IT Desktop Support Engineer. This is a Part Time 2 days a week job with the possibility to go F/T at some point. Please read through the below job and if you meet the requirements please send resume to Troy.Hawkins@F2Onsite.com. Thank You!

Onsite IT Support Technician 2x per week 8 hour shifts Tuesday and Wednesday.

Job Requirements:

  • Setting up, installing, and maintaining computer hardware and software systems
  • Troubleshooting and resolving computer issues, such as errors, connectivity problems, or hardware failures
  • Running diagnostic tests and performing regular upgrades
  • Providing technical support and ensuring data protection
  • Repairing computer equipment and network devices
  • Removing viruses, and troubleshooting malware, adware, spyware, etc.
  • Adjusting computer hardware components to ensure better performance
  • Diagnosing network connectivity problems
  • Providing users with technical training and assistance when necessary
  • Skills
  • Proven experience as computer technician
  • Good knowledge of computer systems (PC and Point of Sales equipment), printers, mobile phones, tablets and peripherals
  • Good knowledge of computer operating systems (Microsoft)
  • Good knowledge of internet security and data privacy principles
  • Basic knowledge and experience with LAN/WAN networks
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Exceptional organizing and time-management skills
  • Relevant certifications (e.g. CompTIA A+) is an advantage.

Must Haves To Be Considered:

 

-Recent customer facing IT support experience (meaning experience supporting a similar environment, office setting with multiple users directly contacting him for support)

-Basic knowledge on how to support common IT issues (slow computer and network performance, forgotten passwords, printer problems, projector problems, security threats, software crashes or errors, data loss, and connectivity issues like Wi-Fi problems, )

-Customer service skills ( Empathy, Patience, Adaptability.) during the interviews they like to ask for situations were the candidate had to face a difficult customer or was unable to resolve a problem.
