DESCRIPTION OF JOB:

Under the supervision of the Director of the Edgewood University Campus Store & Mail Center, the Campus Store Lead will be responsible for customer service, supervising student workers, ordering/receiving, maintaining the campus store website, and processing online sales, and general upkeep of the campus store. This position supports the mail center lead during peak times or absence of mail center staff. This is a part-time position, averaging 25 hours per week. The usual hours are Monday-Friday, 11:00 AM-4:30 PM, with occasional weekends as necessary for campus-sponsored events.

Responsibilities: Customer Service-maintain a clean and inviting environment for customers, greets and assists customers, process sales, refunds and exchanges, process website orders, assists with clothing and insignia ordering, supervising student employees, and performing other duties as requested, delegated, or assigned. Inventory-maintain inventory of supplies and clothing, inspect and count all incoming merchandise, and end of year inventory. Marketing-coordinate and operate sales, promote specials via Instagram, maintain the bookstore website with pictures and descriptions of products. Provide support for online bookstore operations and graduation activities. Mail Center procedures and services JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Necessary Education or Work Experience:

College degree preferred Minimum of 2 years of retail or related work experience Experience working with inventory and sales promotions Required Knowledge or Skills

Proven ability to work effectively as a team member Exceptional customer service skills Strong initiative Accuracy and attention to detail Ability to problem solve and make independent decisions Excellent oral and written communication skills Must be able to multitask and work in fast paced environment Cash handling experience Specialized Technology Skills

Overall Proficient skill-level in Microsoft Office, which includes: Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, and basic computer concepts Preferred but not required experience with social media platforms and light graphic design Booklog experience a plus Willingness and ability to learn new software
