The Database Manager leads the planning, design, implementation, and support of complex database systems. This role ensures availability, security, recoverability, and performance of enterprise data systems. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Design, implement, and maintain PostgreSQL databases in AWS. Develop backup/recovery procedures and automate administration. Provide technical support to developers and business units. Drive performance monitoring and capacity planning. Define indexing, file organization, and security procedures. Lead logical/physical database design and migration. What You'll Need
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline (Master's preferred). 7+ years in database systems development and maintenance. 6+ years administering on-prem/cloud PostgreSQL or other RDBMS. Strong AWS database management and scripting expertise. Experience in Agile/DevOps environments. HHS program database experience strongly preferred.
