Administrative Coordinator
In your role as an Administrative Coordinator with the Registrar of Voters Office, you will help to administer Louisiana's voter registration laws by maintaining accurate voters rolls and support election operations. Following Policies and Procedures: The ability to comply with policies and procedures of the organization as well as State Civil Service rules, and all applicable federal and state laws. Minimum Qualifications: One year of experience in administrative services. EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION: Every 15 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will substitute for six months of the required experience. Job Duties: Screens, routes, and resolves telephone calls, or accesses appropriate staff to resolve the same. Provides customer service to the public (voters, candidates, elected officials, and private and public interest groups). Sorts and directs all mail and elections documents, screens and verifies accuracy of voter registration applications, and as appropriate, evenly distributes to team members on a daily basis. Files and scans daily. Screens voter applications for accuracy and for prior registrations daily. Position-Specific Details: Appointment Type: Probational Overtime Requirements: For every election cycle, the selected applicant must be available to work on the two Saturdays during early voting, extended daily hours during early voting and also the day of the election which is normally a Saturday. Overtime is required to support other election operations such as the canvass, recall petitions, etc. How to Apply: No Civil Service test score is required in order to be considered for this vacancy.
