Sr. Cloud Engineer

Job Title: Sr. Cloud Engineer Location: Charlotte, NC (Hybrid – On-site 2-3 days/week) Duration: Long-term consulting engagement Role Overview Seeking experienced engineers for cloud-native and modern software development, especially in Java and .NET. Focus on full-stack cloud migration to Red Hat OpenShift (OCP) and Tanzu Application Service (TAS), including CI/CD pipeline integration and modernization. Key Responsibilities Architect and execute application migration, especially from TAS to OpenShift. Implement/manage DevOps pipelines and CI/CD. Ensure platform integration and post-migration support. Mentor junior engineers and conduct knowledge transfer sessions. Technical Expertise Required Skills and Experience: 10+ years in software development/architecture. Experience with Java, .NET, Angular. Hands-on experience with TAS and OpenShift. Understanding of cloud-native architectures. Knowledge of load balancing strategies (e.g., RoundRobin, Topology, Canary). Proven experience with migration approaches for OpenShift and TAS. CI/CD experience with Jenkins, GitHub, GitHub Actions. Familiarity with tools like Kafka, Redis, NDM, file storage. Knowledge of Kubernetes and Helm. Strong collaboration and communication skills. Excellent troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills. Preferred Qualifications Financial Services domain experience and regulatory awareness. Certifications in OCP, Azure, or relevant DevOps tools.
