Construction Superintendent

JSI Construction, a San Diegobased multifamily developer and builder, is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to lead on-site operations for mid-rise multifamily projects. This individual will serve as the primary field leader, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise all on-site construction activities for multifamily projects.
• Manage subcontractors, trades, and field staff to ensure quality workmanship, schedule adherence, and safety compliance.
• Coordinate with project managers, architects, engineers, inspectors, and ownership representatives.
• Monitor construction progress and provide accurate daily/weekly reporting to leadership.
• Oversee site logistics, scheduling, and proactively resolve field issues as they arise.
• Enforce compliance with safety regulations, company standards, and local building codes.
• Represent JSI Construction on-site, fostering strong relationships with subcontractors, vendors, and clients.

Required Skills & Experience

• 10+ years of construction field experience, with at least 5+ years as a Superintendent on multifamily or mid-rise projects.
• In-depth knowledge of construction methods, building codes, safety regulations, and best practices.
• Proven track record delivering large-scale multifamily projects on schedule and within budget.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage subcontractors and field teams.
• Skilled in reading and interpreting drawings, specifications, and construction schedules.
• Proficiency with construction management tools such as Procore, MS Project, and Bluebeam.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
