As a Mechanic, your duties will include:

  1. Cutting, assembling, fabricating, and testing gear reducers, motors, industrial and hydraulic hoses, components, and linear shafting.
  2. Working from predetermined production orders to select necessary components for assembly and completion of assigned jobs.
  3. Participating in operational excellence initiatives through continuous improvement projects, on-the-job training, schools, and online classes.
  4. Reviewing work orders, customer specifications, manufacturer catalogs, bills of materials, and instructions (written and/or verbal).
  5. Receiving and shipping parts and assemblies.
  6. Visually inspecting inventory to ensure proper functioning, identification, and adherence to customer specifications for reducers, shafting, and hoses.
  7. Assembling gearing, hoses, and shafting according to customer specifications and quality standards.
  8. Maintaining inventory accuracy through cycle counting and proper receiving procedures.
  9. Keeping the work environment clean and organized.
  10. Driving standardization, reducing complexity, and ensuring customer expectations are met to minimize downtime.
  11. Performing regular preventive maintenance on shop equipment (e.g., oil changes, cleaning).
  12. Detecting and reporting faulty equipment, defective materials, improper operations, and unusual conditions to the Team Leader.

Position Requirements:

  1. High school diploma or equivalent.
  2. Specialized training in power transmission and fluid power is a plus.
  3. Comfortable working with computers.
  4. Ability to stand for extended periods, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs. regularly.
  5. Experience with SAP preferred.
