As a Mechanic, your duties will include:

  1. Cutting, assembling, fabricating, and testing gear reducers, motors, industrial and hydraulic hoses, and components.
  2. Working from a predetermined production order to select and assemble necessary components.
  3. Participating in operational excellence initiatives through continuous improvement projects, on-the-job training, schools, and online classes.

Additional responsibilities:

  1. Review work orders, customer specifications, manufacturer catalogs, bill of materials, and instructions (written and/or verbal).
  2. Handling the receiving and shipping of parts and assemblies.
  3. Visually inspecting inventory to ensure proper functioning, identification, and adherence to customer specifications.
  4. Assembling gearing, hoses, and shafting to meet customer specifications and quality standards.
  5. Maintaining inventory accuracy through cycle counting and proper receiving procedures.
  6. Keeping a clean and safe working environment.
  7. Driving standardization, reducing complexity, meeting customer expectations, and minimizing downtime.
  8. Performing regular preventative maintenance on shop equipment (e.g., oil changes, cleaning).
  9. Detecting and reporting faulty equipment, defective materials, improper operations, and unusual conditions to the Team Leader.

Position Requirements:

  1. High school diploma or equivalent.
  2. Specialized training in power transmission and fluid power is advantageous.
  3. Comfortable working with computers.
  4. Ability to stand for extended periods, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
  5. Experience with SAP is preferred.
