Overview Senior Consultant, Network Industry Strategies at FTI Consulting

Base pay range: $108,000.00/yr - $162,000.00/yr

What You'll Do A Senior Consultant is responsible for managing, processing, and analyzing information to develop solutions for external clients. In addition, the candidate will assist team leaders by providing analytic support and drafting for advisory services across a wide range of industries. The position requires the development of written reports explaining the procedures employed. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and take initiative in solving day-to-day problems, continually ensuring quality output that can withstand scrutiny from regulators and third-party auditors.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

Strong analytic and quantitative skills, including economic modeling and/or greenhouse gas accounting experience.

Demonstrated ability to work with large and complex datasets, and to build reproducible, well-documented analysis.

Ability to write memoranda describing procedures and summarizing results of research or analysis.

Solid communication skills (written and verbal) including the ability to explain complex concepts to clients and staff within and outside the firm.

Ability to support and direct communication with clients and staff on engagements, while updating senior team members on progress and issues.

Commitment to working in a collaborative, team-oriented environment and maintaining positive relationships with colleagues and clients across functions.

A positive, professional, and solutions-oriented attitude.

Strong business acumen and entrepreneurial spirit, including the ability to identify and pursue new business opportunities.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Economics, Statistics, Engineering, Environmental Science or a related quantitative field.

3 years of relevant full-time work experience with quantitative analysis of energy systems and/or environmental impact (e.g., GHG emissions accounting, climate scenario analysis, energy system forecasting models, and large dataset processing).

Familiarity with Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions accounting and reporting.

Experience supporting ESG program development and environmental reporting.

Experience analyzing 10-K documents, earnings reports, investor presentations and other public company financial data.

Ability to learn new concepts quickly and possess a service-oriented attitude.

Experience analyzing environmental data using database and spreadsheet applications (including Microsoft Excel).

Project management experience that includes interacting with and presenting to senior-level team members and clients.

Ability to travel to FTI offices and client locations.

Preferred Qualifications

Master's degree in Economics, Statistics, Engineering, Environmental Science or a related field.

Technical writing skills (footnotes and citations, formatting tables and figures).

Experience quantifying physical and market risks into financial impacts for clients under different market scenarios.

Proficiency with ESG Reporting and GHG quantification software.

Ability to manage and delegate data processing and quantitative analysis tasks to ensure timely progress across multiple workstreams.
