Job Summary:
We are seeking a Principal .NET Engineer to lead the migration from legacy .NET to .NET Core (version 5+), resolve framework-related issues, and provide architectural guidance.
This hands-on role involves thought leadership in .NET standards, centralized logging implementation, and infrastructure development.
The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in .NET Core, C#, and observability tools, and will work primarily in an on-premises environment.
Key Responsibilities: Lead and support the migration from legacy .NET to .NET Core (v5+). Provide architectural guidance and best practices for .NET Core development. Implement and support centralized logging and observability systems (e.g., Splunk, ElasticSearch, OpenTelemetry). Collaborate with Tech Leads and scrum teams to ensure high-quality development and testing practices. Perform automated unit and integration testing using tools such as xUnit and MSTest. Participate in code reviews and infrastructure development. Ensure performance, maintainability, and reliability of applications in an on-prem environment. Required Qualifications:
Minimum 7 years of experience in .NET Core (v5+). Strong proficiency in C#. Experience implementing centralized logging/observability systems. Hands-on experience with automated testing frameworks and mocking tools. Experience working in on-premises environments. Familiarity with OpenTelemetry for distributed tracing and monitoring. Preferred Qualifications:
Active GitHub profile showcasing relevant contributions. Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
