Primary Job Title:Principal S2P Business AnalystAlternate/Related Job Titles: Senior SAP S2P Analyst Lead Source-to-Pay Consultant Procurement Business Process Lead S/4HANA Supply Chain Analyst Strategic Procurement Transformation LeadLocation:Oakland, CAOnsite Flexibility:Hybrid (3 days onsite per week)Position Type:Direct HireJob Summary:As a Principal S2P Business Analyst, you'll play a key role in a major modernization initiative - Propel - aimed at transforming enterprise operations through SAP S/4HANA. This role supports the design and execution of Source to Pay (S2P) solutions including requisitioning, PO management, contract lifecycle, and vendor integration. You will be instrumental in standardizing business processes, elevating data quality, and enabling breakthrough innovations across the supply chain.This position reports to the S2P Business Strategy, Senior Manager and follows a hybrid work schedule, with 3 days onsite in Oakland, CA.Key Responsibilities: Represent S2P as a subject matter expert within the SAP S/4HANA Propel Program Lead cross-functional procurement design and change workshops Define and confirm Level 3/Level 4 future-state S2P processes Validate business requirements against regulatory frameworks and internal policies Identify process gaps, conduct root cause analyses, and propose innovative solutions Develop and present documentation for design validation and stakeholder alignment Guide senior leadership through decision-making for enterprise procurement modernization Manage or advise on major S2P transformation initiativesRequired Experience: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field, or equivalent experience 8+ years of job-related experience in procurement or S2P systems/processes Extensive experience in SAP, Ariba, and Source to Pay operations Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, Project, Visio Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skillsNice-to-Have Experience: MBA or related graduate degree LSS Black Belt certification Experience working in large-scale SAP S/4HANA transformation programs Experience managing cross-functional procurement initiatives Power user of analytical and project management toolsRequired Skills: Source to Pay (S2P) subject matter expertise SAP Ariba and/or S/4HANA functional knowledge Cross-functional collaboration and project leadershipPreferred Skills: Change management and stakeholder engagement Business process design and documentation Strategic problem-solving and business case developmentAdditional Skills: Root cause analysis and process improvement Earned value and KPI metrics familiarity Process mapping and enterprise tool optimization Strong influence, negotiation, and presentation abilitiesAbout the Client:A leading natural gas and electric energy company serving millions of customers across the United States.
