About the job Quality Inspector
As a
Quality Assurance (QA) Inspector , you will be responsible for meticulously inspecting metal components to ensure they meet our strict quality standards and engineering specifications. This role is essential for preventing defects and ensuring the final product's reliability. You'll work closely with the production and engineering teams to identify issues and implement corrective actions. Your daily tasks will involve using precision tools, documenting findings, and maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
Perform Detailed Inspections:
Conduct first-piece, in-process, and final inspections of metal components using precision measuring equipment. Utilize Precision Tools:
Masterfully operate and calibrate tools such as
calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and bore gauges
to measure dimensions and tolerances. Document and Report:
Accurately record inspection data, including dimensions, test results, and non-conformances. Create detailed reports on defective parts and collaborate with the production team to address root causes. Maintain Quality Standards:
Ensure all components comply with company specifications and industry standards. Assist in the continuous improvement of quality control processes. Blueprint and Specification Reading:
Interpret complex engineering blueprints, drawings, and schematics to understand part specifications and tolerances. Skills & Qualifications
Experience:
Proven experience (2+ years preferred) in a manufacturing or quality control environment, specifically with metal components. Technical Skills:
High proficiency in using precision measuring tools, especially
calipers and micrometers . Attention to Detail:
Exceptional focus and a keen eye for identifying subtle defects or variations. Communication:
Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively report findings and collaborate with team members. Certifications:
Relevant certifications (e.g., ASQ Certified Quality Inspector) are highly preferred and may influence the starting pay rate.
