Position Title Admissions and Employer Engagement Coordinator
Job Description
The Assistant Director of Law Recruitment and Employer Engagement plays a dual role in both the Admissions Office and the Office of Professional Development at the College of Law. They must be knowledgeable about the juris doctor curriculum, the bar exam, and trends in legal employment. The Assistant Director of Law Recruitment and Employer Engagement must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, possess a positive attitude, demonstrate a strong work ethic, possess strong technical skills, and handle confidential matters with tact, diplomacy, and professionalism. Responsibilities require occasional overtime work, which could include working after business hours on the weekend. This position will report to the Associate Dean, Director of Admissions and will work 3 days in the admissions office and 2 days in the Office of Professional Development.
Essential Functions (Responsibilities):
Admissions Event Planning: Assists with on-campus and off-campus programming, including daily visits, admission event programs, prospect open house events, and presentations. During peak application volume, may assist with application review as a voting member of the admissions team. The Assistant Director of Law Recruitment and Employer Engagement will learn and utilize Unite, our application database and CRM. This position will assist with reviewing, creating, and sending marketing communications to prospective and admitted students. Counsels prospective and admitted students through in person visits, online platforms, during tours of the College of Law, phone, and during campus visits. Must maintain knowledge of the College of Law programming and trends in legal education Provides consistent and comprehensive outreach to prospective students and other university constituents via email, phone, mail, and other online platforms Seasonal travel (including overnight) to recruit new law students at recruitment fairs, LSAC Law forums, panels, and other events. Assistant Director of Law Recruitment and Employer Engagement coordinates the Licensed Legal Intern Program at the College of Law including registration, exam, and marketing. Assists with On-Campus Interviews when law firms visit campus to interview our students. Event Planning - The Assistant Director of Law Recruitment and Employer Engagement coordinates panels and events which introduce law students to different areas of legal practice. Data entry in 12Twenty, the online platform for student profiles, resumes, cover letters, and internship/employment opportunities. Will review student resumes and cover letters. Assists the Director of Professional Development with collecting, reviewing, and maintaining graduate employment information for annual reporting required by the ABA, NALP, US News & World Report, and other relevant accrediting bodies. Respond promptly to employers, students, and other university constituents' requests via email, phone, and other online platforms Special Job Dimensions:
Requires working with highly sensitive or confidential information. Evenings, weekends, and overnight travel required.

Ability to lead and be self-governing with regard to large projects and on-going departmental operations Ability to multi-task efficiently in a fast-paced environment and respond to all in a prompt manner Proficient with SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook Professional verbal and written communication skills Comfort with public speaking Experience with event planning / coordinating Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality. High attention to detail Positive attitude and strong customer service with a can-do attitude and strong interpersonal skills. Demonstrated practice of establishing effective priorities and meeting deadlines Must be willing to work evenings and weekends and be able to travel frequently Ability to travel by car and plane and navigate airport, rental car and hotel environments. Representing Tulsa Law at recruiting and speaking events may also require handling various sized bags or boxes of materials weighing up to approximately 50 pounds. Preferred Qualifications
Juris Doctor degree Experience working in a university setting or admission or recruitment related experience Previous experience working in Slate, Colleague, ImageNow, or any other Customer Relationship Manager (CRM) system
Physical Demands
Ability to travel by car and place and navigate airport, rental car and hotel environments. Representing Tulsa Law at recruiting and speaking events may also require handling various sized bags or boxes of materials weighing up to approximately 50 pounds.
