If you like to build things, you'll love working for us. Overview We are currently recruiting for an Embedded Development Engineer supporting multiple engineering services contracts in Manassas, VA. Candidates who are mission-oriented and enjoy a fast-paced team environment are encouraged to apply. Responsibilities Design and implement embedded (firmware) hardware control-logic and low-level data protocols interfacing a main processor with different sub-systems. Perform firmware development over the full engineering lifecycle across multiple projects. Establish firmware, software, and hardware interface requirements to satisfy product performance goals. Circuit Card Assembly bring-up, verification/validation, integration, supporting manufacturing test for production. Provide technical assistance for prototype, pilot, and production support. Evaluate requirements and analyze best methods of implementation for cost, timeline and functionality. Present findings in design reviews. Support troubleshooting and testing activities ranging from component-level to integrated system level. Work closely with a team of engineers, analysts and technicians to develop, build, refine, and deliver engineering prototypes. Required Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in an engineering, scientific, or technical discipline OR equivalent experience. Five (5) years of professional experience in firmware design. Experience with interfaces such as TCP / IP, SPI, I2C, & UART. Experience using schematics and block diagrams as inputs for the firmware development effort. Ability to use electronic test equipment in testing and troubleshooting of circuit card assemblies and wire harnesses. US Citizenship and the ability to obtain a DoD Security Clearance. Ten (10) years of professional experience in firmware design, including specialized in DOD or related programs. Expertise of development languages such as C/C++, or VHDL. Active DoD Secret Level Security Clearance.
