As CoStars next Lead Software Engineer, you will have a direct impact on highly visible CoStar Suite web applications that touch millions of users. You will continuously learn emerging technologies and architecture advancements and apply the learnings to improve CoStars software products. This position is located in Arlington, VA, and is onsite Monday Thursday, with the option to work from home on Friday. Responsibilities Design and develop high-performance web applications used by thousands of users globally. Drive continuous improvement by focusing on engineering excellence. Influence CI/CD pipeline improvements. Collaborate closely with other Software Engineers across the organization. Mentor junior developers, review code and architecture, and promote software development best practices. Continuously evaluate emerging technologies to identify opportunities, trends, and best practices to strengthen CoStars technology platform and development practices. Develop and maintain an in-depth working knowledge of the CRE Industry and CoStars business model/technology. Basic Qualifications Bachelors Degree from an accredited, not-for-profit university or college. A proven commitment to prior employers. 8+ years of production development experience in modern technologies such as React, Vue, TypeScript, NodeJS, C#, .NET, OpenSearch, Kafka, SQL, NoSQL. A demonstrable track record of building and launching successful products and platforms. Experience with cloud technologies like AWS and Cloud Managed Services. Experience in Agile/Scrum processes and Continuous Delivery practices. Experience with unit, performance, and automation testing. Deep understanding of what drives the business for which you are building software. Active role in mentoring developers and building consensus. Preferred Qualifications and Skills Experience managing a large enterprise-level codebase, ensuring code quality and managing dependencies. Experience with C#, NodeJS, and React. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Knowledge of the CRE industry is a bonus.
