Peoplelink Staffing Solutions is seeking an Inventory Associate in partnership with a prominent client in the Owego area within the Manufacturing field. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, experience with ERP systems, and a commitment to maintaining a clean and efficient warehouse environment.
Summary: Shift: 1 st Pay: $17/ hour
Inventory Associate
Job Responsibilities: Safely move materials within the dock, warehouse, and manufacturing floor. Responsible for the accurate receipt, movement, storage, and kitting of materials to support production and warehouse operations. Receive, unpack, verify counts, and perform receipt transactions in the ERP system. Scan all receivers into the system promptly for accurate traceability. Transact and locate material in the warehouse as needed within the ERP system. Kit materials for production work orders or machine orders. Maintain inventory of parts, tools, equipment, and spares as needed. Handle and dispose of hazardous materials and recyclables per regulations. Process returns of defective materials to suppliers and resolve discrepancies. Perform cycle counts, stock counts, and resolve discrepancies. Keep work areas clean and organized. Knowledge of hand trucks, conveyors, and other material handling equipment. Assist other personnel and production areas as directed. Suggest improvements that could impact quality and job performance.

Qualifications:
High School Diploma/ Equivalent 1-2 years of experience in warehouse receiving and inventory. Experience in performing transactions in an inventory management database. Certification in handling hazardous waste per DOT requirements or willingness to be trained. Experience using an ERP system and other various computer databases preferred. Accuracy in counting, receipts, and paperwork. Knowledge of proper packaging. Strong math, time management, attention to detail and interpersonal skills. Ability to lift to 50 lbs. frequently, heavier weights with assistance.
