Responsibilities

  • Research and interpret regulatory requirements and instructions to inform testing activities.
  • Review reporting logic and system code for alignment with regulatory requirements.
  • Based on regulatory requirements and logic review, develop structured test scripts and design test cases with clear Pass and Fail scenarios to validate data accuracy and identify data quality issues.
  • Write and execute SQL and SAS queries to perform data validation and confirm results.
  • Analyze and interpret test results, identify issues, and escalate findings as appropriate.
  • Document results and observations in a clear, detailed, and audit-ready manner.
  • Engage with stakeholders to review results and communicate findings.
  • Contribute to process improvements to enhance testing accuracy, consistency, and efficiency.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and zero to four or more years of experience in a quantitative field such as Finance, Mathematics, Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, or Engineering, or equivalent education and related training
  • Exhibit understanding of statistical methods, including a broad understanding of classical statistics, probability theory, econometrics, time-series, and primary statistical tests
  • Familiarity with linear algebra concepts for optimization, complex matrix operations, eigenvalue decompositions, and principal components; working knowledge of calculus/differential equations, with understanding of stochastic processes
  • Demonstrate understanding of data cleansing and preparation methodologies, including regex, filtering, indexing, interpolation, and outlier treatment
  • Strong familiarity with data extraction in a variety of environments (SQL, JQuery, etc.)
  • Working knowledge of Hadoop, Pig, Hive, and/or NoSQL, Spark
  • Experience in managing multiple projects with tight deadlines in a collaborative environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of regulatory reporting requirements, (FFIEC 031, FR Y-9C, FR Y-14M/Q/A, FR 2052a).
  • Proficiency in SQL and SAS for data validation and test case execution.
  • Experience in conformance or data quality testing, including test case development and execution
  • Ability to interpret requirements and translate requirements into SQL or SAS queries
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to clearly present findings to stakeholders.
