Overview
The Senior Data Analyst leads enterprise-level data initiatives by combining technical expertise with strategic insight. This role is responsible for driving data governance, advanced analytics, integration projects, and dashboard development to support the organization's mission – including initiatives in affordable housing and enterprise-wide operations. The ideal candidate is a seasoned data professional with strong leadership skills, hands-on technical ability, and a passion for delivering data-driven insights.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage cross-functional data governance, migration, integration, and analytics projects aligned with strategic organizational goals.
- Design and implement robust dashboards and visualizations using Power BI, ensuring clarity, performance, and data accuracy.
- Write, optimize, and maintain complex SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and reporting across multiple platforms.
- Develop and enforce data governance standards, policies, and best practices across departments.
- Integrate with external APIs and enterprise systems to support real-time data ingestion and analysis.
- Mentor junior analysts, fostering a culture of growth, collaboration, and analytical excellence.
- Translate complex data into actionable insights for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Manage project timelines, stakeholder expectations, and reporting deliverables across business units.
Skills & Qualifications
- Proficiency in Power BI, including data modeling (DAX, M), report design, and performance tuning.
- Experience with dashboarding and data storytelling to communicate trends and opportunities effectively.
- SQL development skills with the ability to query and manipulate large datasets.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and integrating external data sources into enterprise systems.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Demonstrated leadership in managing analytics initiatives and cross-functional collaboration.
- Knowledge of data warehousing, data modeling, and ETL/ELT processes.
- Effective communicator with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences.
Experience & Education
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or data engineering.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Experience working with ERP systems for data integration and enterprise reporting.
- Project Management experience is a plus.
Physical Requirements / Work Environment

- Work is primarily sedentary in nature.
FLSA: Exempt
Pay: $100,000 to $115,000/year
