Base pay range

$33.00/hr - $42.00/hr

This position will be responsible for general accounting functions including recording transactions, reconciliations balance sheet schedules in accordance with GAAP.

Location: This role is located in Midtown - Sacramento, CA (95811). This role allows a hybrid schedule requiring 2-3 days per week on site.

Essential Functions

• Prepare accurate and timely journal entries for the general ledger monthly close in accordance with GAAP
• Perform monthly reconciliations and provide analysis for assigned Balance Sheet and Income Statement accounts
• Contribute to the preparation of monthly financial statements and related supporting schedules
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities
• Assist with financial and tax audits by providing necessary documentation and analysis
• Help prepare corporate tax returns and ensure compliance with reporting requirements
• Participate in the development of organizational operating and capital budgets
• Assist in drafting, maintaining, and distributing written finance policies and procedures as assigned

Additional Duties

• Gathers, compiles, and reports financial information for various reporting purposes, both internal and external

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s of Arts in Accounting
• Three to five years' experience
• Strong Excel skills
• Knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
• Strong reconciliation and analytical skills

Preferred Background

• Familiarity with nonprofit, government, or healthcare accounting practices
• Experience with general ledger accounting, financial reporting, and reconciliations
• Familiarity with month-end and year-end close processes
• Ability to collaborate effectively across a broad spectrum of backgrounds and perspectives
