IT Field Support Specialist
Type: Full Time, Direct Hire
Location: Arlington, TX (fully onsite 5 days per week)
Salary: $60k - $75k (depending on experience)
We are looking for a motivated individual to support our disperse team from our Arlington, TX office. This position will perform analytical, technical, and administrative work in the planning, design, and installation of new and existing personal computer systems, workstations, or servers; diagnoses and resolves problems in response to customer reported incidents; confers with end users to determine types of hardware and software required; installs new hardware and software and maintains existing components; trains end users in the use of equipment and software; performs general maintenance tasks; troubleshoots and resolves issues with computer systems and peripheral equipment located throughout the organization; prepares progress reports for all work performed; conducts training programs designed to educate an organization's computer users about basic and specialized applications.
Responsibilities
- Install and support business applications
- Maintain/update hardware inventory to comply with asset management standards
- Handle incoming IT service requests (i.e., phone calls, email, and walk-in visits) to ensure computer user inquiries are addressed in a timely manner
- Support the use of printers, fax machines, copiers, and multi-function machines to maintain operational readiness
- Troubleshoot, install, patch, and upgrade computer systems
- Physical setup and deployment of computer systems, monitors, printers, and other peripherals to ensure seamless operation of business functions
- Train and orient users on use of hardware and software to maintain an educated and efficient workforce
- Assist with the maintenance and management of company phone systems and cell phones
- Willingness and availability to travel as needed
Skills/Qualifications
- 3+ years\' experience in network and/or PC support
- Proficient with Windows 10/11, Mac OS X, iOS (iPad/iPhone), and Android devices
- Basic understanding of computer networking
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Office Suite
- Familiarity with Vista by Viewpoint (preferred)
- Associate\'s degree or equivalent combination of education, experience, and certifications
- CompTIA A+ certification (preferred)
- Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks
- Effective communication and collaboration skills across diverse teams
- Able to apply company policies and troubleshoot moderately complex technical issues using sound judgment
- Works well independently with general guidance; detailed direction provided for new or complex tasks
Expected Hours
Some work outside of business hours and/or overtime may be required with travel
