Software Engineer II

Location: Houston, TX- Hybrid Duration: 1 year contract Must Haves: 4+ years of experience Associates degree or higher in an Engineering or Science field, or related work experience Ability to communicate effectively to multiple teams Experience with .NET development (.NET Core/.NET 5.0+) Experience with Python Development Experience with AWS functions (Lambdas, APIs, S3, etc.) Ability to visit the office 2 days out of the week Software Engineering knowledge and understanding of common terminology Position Overview: The purpose of this job is to provide support for the various applications, processes, data, and reports utilized by the company, guests, and vendors; develop fixes, features, and enhancements for new and existing applications. Responsibilities: Develop and refactor code using .NET/.NET Core Participate in high-level development, design, and mentoring Collaborate with the development team in Agile standups Build out automation pipelines using Python Develop system integrations using Python Maintain the existing code base using .NET Develop APIs using AWS Gateway Develop and implement technology development plans, policies, and procedures Periodically meet with the leadership and management teams for performance reviews Assist with AWS cloud migration efforts, moving on-prem SQL data to a serverless database Work with a wide-array of newer technologies: .NET Core, .NET 5.0+, Python, APIs, AWS, SQL, and more Apex Benefits Overview: Apex offers a range of supplemental benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and other insurance plans that offer an optional layer of financial protection.
