What to Expect (Job Responsibilities): - Manage and enhance the reliability, performance, and usability of cloud infrastructure and related systems - Automate repetitive tasks to improve efficiency and accuracy - Collaborate closely with engineering teams to promote a culture of shared responsibility - Address support tickets as assigned and participate in an on-call rotation to troubleshoot production issues - Simplify unnecessary complexity and anticipate future problems without over-engineering current solutions
What is Required (Qualifications): - Familiarity with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP) - Experience writing and maintaining software applications, particularly with Python or Golang - Solid experience with Terraform or another Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tool - Hands-on experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines in platforms like GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or CircleCI - Strong knowledge of Docker and experience with container orchestration, preferably Kubernetes
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications): - Experience with Linux system administration - Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills - Ability to empathize with users of the systems being built - Skills in critical thinking and adapting to new situations
