$75,000.00/yr - $85,000.00/yr

Senior Accountant

A Typical Week May Look Like This…

• Prepare and reconcile monthly balance sheet accounts including Fixed Assets, Investments, Accrued Liabilities, Payroll, recording journal entries, and supporting the monthly close processes.
• Manage the accounts payable cycle, including invoice and expense report review and approvals, inputting expense vouchers into Great Plains, Concur reporting, payment processing (checks, ACH, wires), and vendor issue resolution.
• Process payroll changes and oversee bi-weekly payroll in coordination with HR, including audits, ADP submissions, and retirement/HSA contribution reporting.
• Monitors the daily compliance with federal and state regulations including W-2 and 1099 reporting, state property tax filings, and escheatment requirements.
• Support the annual audit by preparing schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documentation; participate in internal control and process improvement initiatives.
• Maintain documentation of financial workflows and contribute to the development of new procedures to improve accuracy and efficiency of the financial reporting function.
• Directly work with and assist the Controller and CFO in tasks such as budgeting, financial reporting, and financial system conversions for the Association.

Is This You?

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, with 5 years of experience in a staff accountant role or 1 year in a senior accountant role. CPA candidate preferred.
• A strong problem solver, fast learner, and hardworking individual who can maintain multiple different priorities.
• An adaptable person who is highly collaborative and fosters strong teamwork.
• Ability to collaborate in a virtual environment and enjoys a challenge in a fast-paced workplace.
• Experience with systems such as Great Plains, Concur, ADP, and Sage Intacct.
