Pay Information $2,931 per week About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 18 months License: In-state license required prior to start date. Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS required Must-Have: Solid Neuro experience Experience with Cardizem, Amiodarone, Lasix, Insulin drips, Post Heart Cath, and Post Pacemaker procedures Description: This position requires a registered nurse to work in a mixed acuity unit. The unit cares for medical-surgical patients with some progressive care unit needs. Patients include those with oncology, stroke, cardiac, gastrointestinal, and pulmonary conditions. Staff will manage a patient ratio of 1:5-6 for medical-surgical patients and 1:3-4 for progressive care patients. The role includes monitoring unstable strokes and patients on BiPap therapy. Staff must be adept in managing various cardiac drips without titration. The candidate is required to work 2 out of 3 major holidays. Floating within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals is 100% required. Experience with telemetry and IV insulin protocols is preferred. Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential as interdisciplinary support is available.
